Itinerary
Day 1
Join Captain and crew to depart our dock at 10 am. We'll set sail on the Bras d’Or Lake via island-studded St. Peter’s Inlet. Here you're likely to see eagles, hawks and a variety of gulls overhead, herons and deer alongshore, and perhaps a few seals in the sea. Anchor for a swim and lunch in a protected cove. Then head out on the big lake for some open water sailing and practice your sailing skills. Take the helm, handle the sail or just kick back and enjoy the ride and scenery. The captain is standing by with sailing advice and instruction. Return to the dock around 4:30 pm for some apres-sailing cheer.
Day 2
Today, another 10 am departure. This time we'll navigate through the historic tidal lock canal (operating since 1869) for a sail on the Atlantic Ocean. You'll have good views of neighbouring Isle Madame and the southwest coast of Cape Breton Island. In the ocean and Lennox Passage we may see pilot whales and seals, and lots of bird life. Return to St. Peter’s at afternoon’s end for cocktail hour dockside.
Depending on weather and your preferences, we can switch the order of lake and ocean days, or sail both days in either waters.
